1 Day 4 Ways: Treat Yourself to a Day with the Girls

Let’s be intentional about the moments we spend with those we love and spent focusing on our own wellness and self-care.

When is the last time you laughed until you cried or made a new inside joke? If you’ve been craving a day with the girls, we’ve put together the perfect itinerary so no one has to play the role of planner – that’s our job!

10:00 AM: make a stop next door for Bottomless Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s at Digs on Canal. (No, it’s never too early!)

The I&M Canal is the perfect backdrop for a morning spent catching up over Mimosas and French Toast with your friends.  Digs on Canal is famous for their live music featuring local bands and performers so be sure to check the event calendar before you go to see if you can partake in a Sunday Bingo or  Music and Mimosas.

What To Order:  We have dreams about the Strawberry French Toast with a side of bacon and the Day Break Burrito with a side of onion rings. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Find a friend group who is down to order one of everything.

Hot Tip: Grab a spot on the patio to enjoy the views of Downtown.

Hands breaking apart slices of pizza and cocktails at Wooden Paddle in Lemont, IL.

6:00 PM:  Grab a slice of heaven at Wooden Paddle

This isn’t your Mama’s pizzeria. Wooden Paddle was built with the love of sharing: From shared seating, an open kitchen where guests can share in the cooking experience, and food that is meant to be shared — this is the perfect plan for group dinner.

What To Order: Start with the ‘Going to Cancun, Be Back Never!’ cocktail because we all need that energy in our lives. If you’re sober, the fresh-squeezed lemonade is *a chef’s kiss.*

You can keep it basic with the Pepperonly pizza - a class pepperoni with mozzarella cheese and provolone, and loads of garlic #garlicgirl or you can live like the decadent Queen you are with the Banhi Mi Pizza - pork sausage, banh mi sauce, provolone, pickled daikon and carrots, mozzarella, and cilantro with a sweet chili sauce. If you or one of your girls is gluten-free, their gluten-free crust is the stuff of gods.

Hot Tip: (1) Reserve your table ahead of time online. (2) The entire place is Instagrammable but especially the bathroom. Don’t be afraid to grab a few shots. (3) This spot is cashless so have your card ready.

Details: Located at 212 Stephen Street, Lemont, IL.

7:00 PM: We know you’re stuffed but grab one last drink at One Eleven

If it’s hard to get time away from work and the kids and the partners and anything else that keeps you away from your girlfriends. Stay and have one more drink. There is no better place for wine, cocktails, and a small bite than OneEleven Wine and Martini Parlor

What to Order: Keep it classy with the Classic Dirty Martini - gin, shaken, with a blue cheese olive.

Hot Tip: This place has music so prepare to catch a vibe. You’ll also enjoy ½ off wines if you make it on a Wednesday night.

Details: Located at 111 Stephens Street, Lemont, IL.
