Meet Your New Neighbor: The Club opens in Lemont Downtown
Head on down to The Club, your new favorite spot where everyone is welcome to socialize, eat, drink, and play. We chatted with Co-owner, Kevin Kulhanek, to learn more about his inspiration for choosing Lemont, the business model, and what they have planned for the future.
RA: Thanks for chatting with us today, tell me more about The Club! How did you come up with the idea for The Club? Is this your first location?
KK: We knew that Lemont did not have an indoor golf facility nearby and Lemont is a huge golf town! This is the first location for The Club.
RA: It’s great to see a place like this join the town. How did you decide on Lemont?
KK: We love Lemont, its history, and community! Downtown Lemont really needed an activity and we hope that people find that at The Club!
RA: Opening a recreational space is wonderful, and we’re thrilled that you’re joining the Lemont community! What makes your business unique?
KK: There are not many indoor golf places with our vibe. Most are strictly practice facilities in warehouses or a place for "the guys." We really tried to make The Club a place that everyone enjoys and feels welcome to come. We're not just golf, we have an extensive cocktail list and curated food menu for everyone to enjoy!
RA: That’s wonderful, we love to hear that! What else can people expect from this space?
KK: We hope that people can find a "home away from home" here. There is a little something for everyone with great food, great drinks, and a fun activity for the group!
RA: There’s so many things to do at The Club! What are your recommendations for first-timers?
KK: Plan on hanging out for a while and try what we have to offer! All of our simple syrups are made in house and our food menu has a lot of shareable appetizers.
RA: Thanks for the tips. What are some of your other favorite businesses in Lemont?
KK: We love One Eleven Martini Bar, Cornerstone, Wooden Paddle, and Barrel & Vine.
RA: Is there anything else you’d like to share about the business?
KK: We launched memberships on our memberships page this season and we're launching sign ups for our winter league, with a start date of January 13th!
