You’re Invited to the Fall Festivities in Lemont

We’re never ready for Summer to end! The warm nights spent roaming the streets at the Sunset Soiree and hot days spent eating lunch at Digs on Canal, watching the train roll past, are some of our favorite memories. However, as the sun sets a bit earlier and the leaves along the Quarry start to dry and fall, we’re setting into a fall that includes tons of Signature Fall events.

Keepataw Day Parade

When: Sunday, September 4th from 1 PM

Where: Starts at Main & Lemont Street

Starting in 1951, the Keepataw Day parade has a rich history of community involvement and celebrating all of the achievements of school teams, clubs, societies, local businesses, community leaders, first responders, and more. Show your hometown pride during the parade and enjoy live music, games, inflatables, food, drinks, and giveaways.

Music at the Forge

When: Friday, September 9, September 16, and September 23 at 6 PM

Where: The Forge Parks Lemont, 1001 Main Street, Lemont, IL

The concert series continues at The Forge this fall in September. Cozy up on the lawn at The Forge Parks and enjoy live music by One of These Nights: The Eagles Tribute Band, Cheryl Rodney, and Ryan Craig.

Buy your tickets at forgeparks.com.

Taste of lemont

When: Saturday, September 10 from 2 -5 PM

Where: Lemont Downtown Metra Parking Lot

We’d argue that Lemont Downtown has some of the best food around. Sponsored by the Lemont High School Educational Foundation, this annual event hosts all of the wonderful food our community has to offer along with live music, games, and raffles.

Buy your ticket at tasteoflemont.com.

Fall Market on Canal

When: Sunday, September 18 from 9 AM - 3 PM

Where: Canal Street

Lean into fall at the popular artisan market hosted by Mabel’s Market. We recommend making a day of it — bring your kids, your pets, and your families and friends from nearby to enjoy a day in Lemont Downtown grabbing fall decor, clothing, crafts, and accessories.

Hot Tip: If you’re thinking ahead, make a quick list for the holidays to grab gifts while you see them for the ones you love.

Quarries Walking Tour

When: Saturday, September 24 at 10 AM

Where: Meet at Heritage Quarries Parking Lot 1

Lemont is rich with history and so much of our story begins at the Quarries. Join the Lemont Area Historical Society (LAHS) for a guided walking tour. This tour has a moderate level of difficulty which is all the more reason to grab lunch and drinks downtown after you’re done and discuss what you’ve learned.
