Where to Bring your Best Friend: Dog-friendly spots in lemont

They always greet you at the door when you return like it’s the first time you’ve met. They have four legs, a waggy tail, and an exposed tongue is a sign they love you.

We know that you are pawsitively obsessed with your pup. We love the pups of Lemont Downtown and want them to join you as you dine, shop, and explore. If you’ve been looking for a new route for your daily walks or want to treat them to a doggy day date, we’ve compiled a list of our favorite dog-friendly spots.

join Lemont downtown events

We throw events for all of the lovely humans of our Lemont Downtown community but seeing your pups roaming the streets fills everyone with joy. Bring your dog to Sunset Soirees, Lemont Legends Cruise Nights, Keepataw Days, Lemontster Days, or just for an evening along the walk on the Canal.

Be sure to look out for our Paw Parades during the holidays and dog-friendly meet-ups around town.

Find Adventure and make some memories

You shouldn’t be the only one having all of the fun when you go to The Forge: Lemont Quarries. Dogs are allowed at The Forge as long as they are wearing a leash and with their owners. If you stop by The Foundry for lunch, be sure to grab an extra special treat for your four-legged friend.

Dine al fresco

You’ll always find a delicious meal to eat at Digs on Canal, Matt’s Barbecue, and Pollyanna Brewing Co., but did you know you can bring your dog too? Find a cozy spot for your dog on any of their open-air patios and enjoy a lovely meal with the entire family.

Browse The Shops

While Lemont Downtown doesn’t have a pet store yet, you can run some errands and pick up gifts at dog-friendly spots like Mabel’s Market and Three Stories. Your pup will find lots of store fronts where they can take a break and enjoy a fresh bowl of water or simply enjoy the scenery downtown.

We can’t wait to see all of your dogs in Lemont Downtown. As a common courtesy, always be sure to pick up after your pet and use proper leashing and gear. Tag us in your pics @LemontDowntown on Instagram and Facebook and use #lemontdowntown.
