No matter what kind of day you’re having, we all deserve a little treat. The Daily Blend, one of Lemont's newest neighbors, is ready to treat you to smoothies and acai bowls packed with real nutrition.
We sat down with Debbie Scumaci, one of the owners of The Daily Blend in Lemont, to learn more about her latest business venture. Keep reading to learn more or try the Daily Blend at their Grand Opening on Saturday, June 20.

Kristian Gist (KG): Welcome to Lemont! We’re so excited to have you. Can you share more about your business?
Debbie Scumaci (DS): Sure! We’re excited to be here. The Daily Blend is a family-run business. We wanted to build a place where folks could grab a smoothie, an acai bowl, or a special treat rich in flavor and nutrition.
KG: What are some of your most popular flavors?
DS: Well, we’re right next to Treadfit, and we know Lemont is a very active community. A lot of people come to try the Reese’s Post-Workout Smoothie. The limited-edition Banana Pudding smoothie we created was so popular that we added it to the regular menu.
KG: What do the prices range from?
DS:It really depends on what you get, but I’d say about $10-18, which makes it a treat for a lot of folks, but it’s a delicious way to get nutrients and protein.
KG: What are some of your goals for the new business?
DS: We’re a family-run business right now, which we love. It keeps us really connected to the community. We’re hopeful that we can soon scale to support more community events and show up at Lemont Cruise Nights or Hometown Holiday with delicious treats for everyone.
KG: You’re having a Grand Opening of The Daily Blend in Lemont soon. What can we expect?
DS: We’re so excited to welcome the community officially. We’ve been softly opened for a few weeks, and every day we’re meeting new customers and adding to our growing list of repeat customers.
Our Grand Opening is on Saturday, June 20, starting at 12:00 PM. We’re excited to take photos with everyone and invite everyone into the space.
KG: We can’t wait. I’m adding that banana pudding smoothie to my next “Treat Yourself Day!’
