The Lemont Area Historical Society invites you to a profound and moving event, America United: The Days After 9/11, a traveling historic exhibit that reflects on one of the most impactful moments in American history. This exhibit features two beams from the North Tower of the World Trade Center, offering a tangible and powerful reminder of the September 11 attacks.

📅 Sunday, February 23, 2025
🚓 Special Escort: Starting at 1:45 PM from Mt. Assisi, these significant artifacts will be escorted through the Village of Lemont, arriving at the Lemont Area Historical Society and Museum by 2:00 PM.
🏛️ Open House: From 2:00 to 5:00 PM, the museum will host an open house for visitors to view the exhibit and reflect on its significance.

This event is a unique opportunity to honor the memory of those we lost, reflect on the resilience of our nation, and connect with history in a significant way. Gather your family, friends, and neighbors, and join us in commemorating this important chapter of our shared story.
